10 Things You Never Knew About James Bond

Exactly what the title says, people. :)

1) There were books before there were movies.
Take some time to absorb that fact: the James Bond movies CAME FROM BOOKS. Ian Fleming wrote 12 novels and two short stories about him. After Fleming died, other authors kept on writing.

2) Fleming chose the name James Bond because it was so simple and dull.

3) It's the highest grossing film series EVER. Which is, in my opinion, totally understandable. Who doesn't want to watch James Bond?

4) James' astrological sign is Scorpio. Here I have something called Scorpio in a nutshell from zodiac-signs-astrology.com/zodiac-signs/scorpio.htm :
Scorpio is the astrology sign of extremes and intensity. Scorpios are very deep, intense people, there is always more then meets the eye. They present a cool, detached and unemotional air to the world yet lying underneath is tremendous power, extreme strength, intense passion and a strong will and a persistent drive. Scorpios have a very penetrative mind, do not be surprised if they ask questions, they are trying to delve deeper and figure things out and survey the situation. They always want to know why, where and any other possible detail they can possibly know. Scorpio's are very weary of the games that other people try to play and they are very aware of it. Scorpios tend to dominate and control anyone that lets them, or anyone that they find weak. The person that a Scorpio respects and holds close to them is treated with amazing kindness, loyalty and generosity. On the outside, a Scorpio has great secretiveness and mystery. This magnetically draws people to them. They are known to be controlling and too ambitious but only because they need control for this makes them feel safe.
 5) In the Bond books, James averages 1 alcoholic drink per seven pages.

6) In the movies, not all of the 00- agents are as talented at staying alive as James. We've seen the deaths of 002, 003, 004 and 009. Agent 006, who was supposed to be dead, returned as the bad guy  in Golden Eye before he gets killed.

7) There is an 'authorized' biography of James Bond. It was written by John Pearson in 1973.

8) Jaws is the only baddie to be in more than one Bond movie.

9) In You Only Live Twice James is handed a drink by a man who says "Stirred, not shaken - that's right". It's obviously very much wrong, because we all know that James prefers it shaken - not stirred.

10) Bond is in the Playboy Club.
